Many freight brokers are making efficient use of social media marketing. This has helped them in gaining more market share, standing out among their competitors, positioning themselves for long term success and aiding to build brand equity.
Social media is a very powerful tool of communication and relationship building which is essential in the business world. If your content isn’t captivating or engaging enough, you tend to lose your fan base and everything follows a downward spiral. To avoid this you have to learn to tailor your content to engage your audience. This also entails shaping the quality of the content to be uploaded so as to engage the target audience.
Engagement in social media is a very valuable tool for shipping businesses. When useful feedback is gotten, it attract more customers and it also help to build an excellent reputation for the business.
Social media engagement doesn’t entail posting whatever one feels like to post on the internet; it has to do with creating conversations with your customers and also building a relationship with them
There are strategies to employ that have been proven to be effective in driving engagement. Increasing social media engagement is a long task; it doesn’t just happen overnight. It begins with getting to know your audience and what interests them. This article would talk about three of such engagement strategies that are achievable.

1. Keep Posting

It is important to create a content that matches the needs of your target audience and post the platform you intend to use. Bear in mind that each social media platform is activity specific; it is advised not to upload a post meant for Snapchat on Instagram or vice versa. The following tools should be employed when posting:
• Hash-tag
Research has shown that people tend to move towards what is trending so as to be informed on the recent happenings. True engagement is achieved when users on social media relate to posts that appeals to their interest. This is done with the aid of the #. A good number of social media campaigns make use of this. The hashtag plays an important role in elevating the level of company visibility. But it should be noted that the use of hashtags should be strategic.
The hashtag approach makes it easy for users to know the number of people that are engaged with the post uploaded. The more users a business has engaging their hash-tag the more the chances their post becomes a trend.
• Make good use of images in your contents
Images are one of the most powerful tools on social media. An example of social media platforms that concentrate more on images are snapchat and Instagram. When an image is catchy or engaging it increases the chances of interaction and also the chances of the image getting shared.
Visual content is a real booster when used efficiently. A lot of social media marketers make use of this strategy to promote their brands.

• Giveaways
People are in the habit of wanting free things. Once a business posts any giveaways on their wall, the number of likes and shares increases.
This can be done by uploading content requesting followers to like and share for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the Bahamas or a chance to win one of the best products you are trying to market, give one free and sell a thousand others.

2. Try To Be A Source Of Encouragement Or Inspiration To Your Audience

Some people forget their target audiences are real people capable of every human emotion. However, taking the time to post a content that is motivating and inspiring can be the source of light for a follower.
It shouldn’t just be about uploading information that relates to product promotion; it should be posts that touch the lives of people. This goes a long way in building a good relationship with your audience.
Often times people get to direct their friends or loved ones to a post or photo that made their day. Often times this can also be a post that made them laugh. When humor is added it brings laughter or smiles to the faces of your audience. It plays a role in maximizing the level of social media engagement.

3. Ask For Reviews And Feedbacks

This is known to be one of the best way to engage people. It surely gets them talking. Due consideration should be taken in the nature of questions to be asked. Questions that have proven to be effective are questions that ask for people’s opinion or judgment on certain issues.
You can ask your followers to drop their feedbacks and reviews as comments or even direct other readers to review your page. If a satisfied follower leaves a happy review or feedback on your page it provides useful information for those who haven’t used your product. You should remind your followers that you want more of their reviews so as to serve them better by way of implementing their suggestions and addressing their complaints if any.
