Effective Ways to Use Content for Website Promotion

The marketplace is always changing its direction. New trends, new hypes, and new technological breakthroughs are some of the common reasons, yet the marketplace could be influenced by so many other factors. In today’s times, if you want to have successful business promotion online, you are entirely dependent on content.

If the content is amazing, which means that it’s packed with value, relevancy, and simplicity, the business who produced it should also perform very well.

You should perceive your content as the single most important element of your sales funnel. If you leave people impressed and have them think “wow, this guy is actually really helpful”, the chances for that person to be converted into a buyer significantly increase.

In today’s post, we’re giving away several effective tips on how to use content for website promotion. Pay close attention!

1.   Create Amazing Content That Gets Shared Around

You know what remarkable content means? Simple: content that is worth remarking. Therefore, ask yourself this question before planning your next post: Is it going to be remarkable? If the answer is “meh…”, you better start looking for another subject.

Here are some things you should look after:

  • Promote your SPECIFIC content to your SPECIFIC audience.
  • Promise to solve SPECIFIC needs, problems, desires, wishes.
  • Be concise and relevant.
  • Give value first, expect rewards later.

Find intriguing subjects, appeal to people’s basic needs, and make everyone curious. Your readers will share your content and look for more. That’s how you leverage the power of content!

2.   Craft Quality Guest Posts

Guest posting is a great content strategy that many blogs use. The thing with guest posting is that you truly need to work smart. You never want to waste your efforts on pitching blogs that have low relevancy to your website or bad social engagement.

When you write for other sites, make sure that you provide quality to their readers. Don’t forget that you’ll get a valuable backlink and also direct traffic towards your website. The better the article the more impact. When there’s impact, there’s a traffic flow!

3.   Repurpose Your Content

“Content” doesn’t refer only to written articles. In fact, content could be articles, videos, audiobooks, podcasts, infographics, slides, e-mails, sales copies, and everything that delivers value through education, entertainment, and so on.

If you have only written content, you should turn it into video and audio at least. This way, you can leverage more promotion channels such as YouTube, Soundcloud, and much more. This is called repurposing, and you should check out this in-depth guide on how to do it effectively.

4.   Approach Influencers and Ask them to Read and Share Your Content

Influencers are usually well-known people that achieved something and became known by lots of other people. However, in today’s marketplace, you can find other types of influencers all around the corner. Social media has “created” social influencers that every one of us can leverage.

Business and personal pages that have big numbers of followers/subscribers/likes are your type of influencers. Find someone in the niche who isn’t a direct competitor, and ask them to read and share your content with their readers. This way, you’ll gain extra reputation and traffic!

5.   Do Forum Marketing

Forum marketing is all about establishing your business as an authority in the field. People start threads because they need help with their problems. You can be the entity that shows them the right way towards the proper solutions. Once you’ve added just a little value to their lives, they’re most likely to follow you back to your website and read more.

You should first take advantage of Q&A platforms such as Quora and Yahoo Answers. Moreover, check out these forum search engines and look out for forums within your niche. Only target the most relevant ones!

6.   Take Advantage of Useful Writing Tools

In order to improve your content marketing’s results, take advantage of your available resources. Do you have reliable resources yet? I’m talking about specific digital applications and software that promise specific outcomes and assistance.

For example, if you want to find trendy subjects from your niche check out Buzzsumo. You need proofreading and editing help, outsource professional writers from Essaygeeks to help you with your specific content needs. Want to automate the distribution of your content? Then use an Aweber for your email content. To automate, even more, check out Buffer app – you can auto-schedule all your content and forget about it!

Please pay attention: you should never do the works that a software can already do. The money you invest in your license will have an amazing ROI over your time, energy, and also money!

8. Use your user generated content

Nowadays, every company have social media accounts, wether it’s Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin or twitter for example. The thing is most of them didn’t really take advantage of it.

Social Media are a great tool to get closer of your customers and to engage your audience. Dialogfeed offers a social wall solution, how it works? Dialogfeed is a SaaS that allows you to aggregate all of your social media feeds and to display them nicely on a social wall that can be embeded on a website or through a TV screen during an event.

This solution will give visibility to your user generated content and get you closer to your audience!

Conclusion

Once you understand the beauty of content marketing, you’ll only want to do more. Why? Because after applying our tips with much care, you should observe great results. The great part is that most of these results have a huge lifespan. Simply put, your results should be consistent and almost passive in the long term.
